home made spaghetti sauce
(1 RATING)
I found this recipe on copykat.com that I have adjusted to suit my tastes. If you would like to look at the original it is called "Ron's Ultimate Spaghetti Sauce". I love the bold flavors of this sauce! The original recipe said that you could simmer it for about 20 minutes, but I find that I like to let it simmer for one to two hours. I also like to double the batch and freeze into meal sized portions for easy dinners later.

How To Make home made spaghetti sauce
-
Step 1Sauté the ground beef, diced onions, diced bell pepper and garlic together until meat is browned.
-
Step 2Add all spices, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes and sugar. Simmer for at least twenty minutes or a few hours (if you have time). Add 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese and stir.
-
Step 3Note: Because of the bullion cubes make sure you taste before adding salt.(If you want to omit them, it will still taste fine.) Also, you may find some tomatoes and tomato sauce a little more sour than others. This depends on the brand being used. If this turns out to be the case, add a little bit of sugar.
