Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound beef chuck roast, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce
- minced scallions, for garnish
How To Make hoisin braised beef

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place a Dutch oven over medium heat on the stove and add the vegetable oil. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.

Step 2Then transfer to a plate.

Step 3Add sherry to the pan and deglaze scrapping up the bits on the bottom.

Step 4Add the remaining ingredients except the scallions. Add the beef back to the Dutch oven.

Step 5Cover and place in the oven. Cook for about an hour.

Step 6Serve over rice and garnish with scallions.
