Ingredients For hoisin braised beef

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 lbbeef chuck roast, cut into cubes

1/4 cdry sherry

1/4 cbrown sugar
-
1/4 corange juice
-
1/4 cHoisin sauce
-
2 Tbsprice vinegar
-
2 Tbspsoy sauce
-
1 Tbspminced ginger
-
3 clovegarlic, minced

2 tspchili garlic sauce

minced scallions, for garnish
How To Make hoisin braised beef

1Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place a Dutch oven over medium heat on the stove and add the vegetable oil. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.

2Then transfer to a plate.

3Add sherry to the pan and deglaze scrapping up the bits on the bottom.

4Add the remaining ingredients except the scallions. Add the beef back to the Dutch oven.

5Cover and place in the oven. Cook for about an hour.

6Serve over rice and garnish with scallions.
