- 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 - shallot, large
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground veal
- 1/4 pound pork sausage
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon mace
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon madeira
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- - hot pepper sauce to taste
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 pound grated mozzarella cheese
How To Make herbed spinach loaf

Step 1Cook spinach in butter and drain

Step 2Saute onions, shallot and garlic in oil

Step 3Add spinach. Cook until water evaporates.

Step 4Combine rest of ingredients and bake 1 hour (glaze often)

Step 5Last 15 minutes top with cheese.
