hearty crockpot beef stew

This is delicious and simple. Serve it with a garden salad and a nice loaf of crusty bread. The boys in my house rave over it.

Ingredients

  • 4 - carrots sliced 1/4' rounds
  • 4 - potatoes cubed
  • 3 - stalks celery chopped
  • 1 - onion diced
  • 4-5 - cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 - 1-11/2' thick round steaks fat trimmed cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup beef bouillon or red wine
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package knorr swiss brown gravy
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes in tomato sauce ( muir glen or your favorite)

How To Make hearty crockpot beef stew

  • Step 1
    Chop and dice all vegetables. Cut meat into 1-11/2 inch cubes trim any fat off as well.Put all ingredients into crock pot add 1 cup of water and stir cover cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until tender. Add peas last 1/2 hour of cooking. If needed increase cooking time.
