Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons salad oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 2 - eggs
- 1 - onion, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 - green peppers, bite size
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1.5 cups pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
How To Make hawaiian sweet-and-sour meatballs

Step 1Blend together beef, eggs, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, onion, pepper, nutmeg, salt and garlic.

Step 2Form into 1-inch balls.

Step 3Heat oil in skillet; brown meatballs on all sides.

Step 4In large saucepan add remaining cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, water and brown sugar to pineapple juice.

Step 5Cook until thickened; stir constantly.

Step 6Add meatballs, fruit and peppers.

Step 7Cook 5 minutes or until fruit is well heated.
