How to Make Hamburgers in Brown Gravy

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut the onion in half. Chop one half into small cubed pieces and cut the other half of the onion into thin slices. Do the same with the green bell pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread pieces, salt, pepper, ketchup, garlic powder, parsley flakes and egg. Mix well. Separate the ground beef mixture into four equal parts and form each into patties. Set aside.
  3. In a 9x9 square baking dish, layer the SLICED onion and pepper pieces along the bottom. Place the ground beef patties on top of the slices in the baking dish.
  4. In a large measuring cup, mix the brown gravy packages with 2 cups of water and the chopped cubed pieces of onion and green bell pepper. Stir well and pour over the top of the patties in the baking dish.
  5. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until burgers are done.
