Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1-2 slice bread, broken into small pieces
- 1 - small onion
- 1 - small green bell pepper
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1-2 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1/2 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 2 packages brown gravy mix
- 2 cups water
How To Make hamburgers in brown gravy

Step 1Cut the onion in half. Chop one half into small cubed pieces and cut the other half of the onion into thin slices. Do the same with the green bell pepper. Set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread pieces, salt, pepper, ketchup, garlic powder, parsley flakes and egg. Mix well. Separate the ground beef mixture into four equal parts and form each into patties. Set aside.

Step 3In a 9x9 square baking dish, layer the SLICED onion and pepper pieces along the bottom. Place the ground beef patties on top of the slices in the baking dish.

Step 4In a large measuring cup, mix the brown gravy packages with 2 cups of water and the chopped cubed pieces of onion and green bell pepper. Stir well and pour over the top of the patties in the baking dish.

Step 5Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until burgers are done.
