My family loves this quick and easy dinner. I serve it with cold wedges of iceberg lettuce drizzled with lite blue cheese dressing.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces lean ground beef
  • 8 - cremini mushrooms, quartered
  • 1/2 medium red onion, sliced
  • 6 sprigs thyme, leaves
  • 1 - refrigerated pie crust
  • 4 ounces gorgonzola cheese
  • - salt and pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

How To Make hamburger tart

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 425 degrees. Cook beef, mushrooms, garlic and onion until beef is just barley browned. Drain fat. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 2
    Roll crust out to about 14 inch round. Put on pizza stone or parchment lined cookie sheet. Top crust with beef mixture leaving 1 1/2 inches around edge. Fold and tuck edges around filling.
  • Step 3
    Bake tart 20 minutes or until crest is golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle with gorgonzola. Let cool 10 minutes slice into 4ths and eat!
