This recipe I got from a cookbook of mine called Country Ground Beef. Very Good.

Ingredients

lean ground beef
1/2 c
onion, chopped
2 Tbsp
butter or margarine
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1
garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 can(s)
(4 ounces)mushroom pieces and stems,drained
1 can(s)
(10-3/4ounces)condensed cream of chicken soup,undiluted
1 c
sour cream

POPPY SEED NOODLES:

8 oz
wide noodles,cooked and drained
2 tsp
poppy seed
1 Tbsp
butter or margarine,melted
chopped fresh parsley

How to Make Hamburger Stroganoff

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion in butter until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Stir in flour,salt,garlic,pepper and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in soup; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream; heat through, but do not boil. Meanwhile,combine noodles,poppy seed, and butter; toss lightly. Spoon stroganoff over noodles. Garnish with parsley.
