hamburger stoup
(1 RATING)
I call this Hamburger Stew, some call it Soup...hence the name Stoup. You can add any vegetables to your liking, I found adding the liquid in the cans enhanced the flavor, and seasoning to your tastes as well. This "receipe" is just how I make it and even my Grandkids love it...who don't like many vegetables. I've shared with many family and friends....Hope you try it and like it...and please post your variances for us to try.

How To Make hamburger stoup
-
Step 1Brown Ground beef, season to your taste, I used Seasoned Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder. Add chopped onion and cook till soft. Add 4-6 T Oil to cooked meat and heat to make meat very wet. Add enough flour to make meat mixture DRY. To this add Beef Broth to make a gravy.
-
Step 2Add your canned ingredients, WITH liquids, (this enhances the flavor). Use any vegetables you like.
-
Step 3Add Potatoes and Carrots and additional Beef Broth if needed to make very soupy. Let cook on medium for about 30-45 minutes, til potatos and carrots are tender. I let mine simmer over an hour. Serve with your favorite corn bread.
