hamburger steak and gravy

Hamburger steak is my husbands favorite dish but I wanted to add a little twist to the dish to still give him his fav but have a little change to it sometimes. I cooked it last night and he loved it.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 8 ounces baby portabella mushrooms, chopped
- 1-2 - carrots, peeled and grated
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 6 tablespoons worcestershire sauce, divided
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3-4 tablespoons flour
- - beef stock
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make hamburger steak and gravy

Step 1Combine ground beef, 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties, cook in large skillet until desired doneness. Remove from skillet to plate, cover with foil to keep warm. In same skillet add olive oil and butter, add mushrooms, onions and carrots, cook on medium heat until vegetables are tender, add garlic, cook about 1 minute,(add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil if needed to make gravy) sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir, add 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce and enough beef stock to make gravy to desired consistency, add salt and pepper to taste. Add hamburgers to gravy and simmer about 5 minutes.
