Ingredients

  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons onion, minced
  • 4 ounces wide noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • - garlic powder to taste
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make hamburger spinach casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook and drain spinach.
  • Step 2
    Mix cream cheese, sour cream, milk and onion in separate bowl and let set to soften.
  • Step 3
    Cook noodles in boiling water for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Drain.
  • Step 5
    Brown beef and drain well.
  • Step 6
    Add tomato sauce, sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper and noodles.
  • Step 7
    Heat through.
  • Step 8
    In 2 quart casserole, place a layer of the meat-noodle mixture (use 1/2).
  • Step 9
    Top with 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 10
    Top with all of spinach and finish with remainder of meat-noodles.
  • Step 11
    Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • Step 12
    Remove from oven and top with remaining cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 13
    Cover completely with cheddar.
  • Step 14
    Return to oven UNcovered until cheese melts completely (about 5-10 minutes).
