Found this recipe on the side of a box of instant potatoes back in 1978. I bought them to try the recipe, but have never used instant potatoes in it. Nothing takes the place of real. :o)

ground chuck, cooked
1 can(s)
cambells tomato soup
1 can(s)
green beans
4 large
potatoes, mashed

How to Make Hamburger Potato Cassarole


  • 1Spray a cassarole dish and put the ground chuck in first (you can add onions to this while it's cooking if you perfer.)

    Add the tomato soup next. Use a spoon to spread it out, but dont mix it together. Then after you've drained the green beans put them on top.
  • 2Then spoon the mashed taters on the top of it all. (you can brush with butter or sprinkle cheese if you like.)

    Bake about 30 min. in a preheated over at 350 degrees. The potato peeks should start to brown.
