Hamburger Pie

Now it's one of the "comfort food memories" of our family.
Ingredients

1 lbground beef

1 mediumonion, chopped very fine

1 can(s)crescent rolls or other pastry of your choice

1/2 cketchup (approximate)

·a few squirts of mustard
-
·salt and pepper
-
1/2 cmayonnaise (or more if you like)
-
2 cgrated cheddar cheese
-
6 slicebacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
-
·dill pickle slices or pickle relish (optional)
-
·chopped tomatoes, optional
-
·shredded lettuce, optional
How to Make Hamburger Pie
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Spread the Crescent roll dough like a crust over the bottom of an 8x12-inch baking dish.
- Spread the crust with the ketchup. I didn't measure this amount exactly; I just squirted it on until I had enough to spread out. Add a few squirts or squiggly lines of mustard on top of the ketchup. The kids can do all the steps for the crust; they get a kick out of it.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Then put the cheese evenly on top. Continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, until cheese melts and the crust is done to your liking.
