A quick dinner for busy weeknights. We ended up with this on a Monday night, when we realized all that was in the refrigerator was hamburger meat, carrots, cabbage, and korean marinade. Whatever, right? It worked and everyone ate it. (No left overs! lol)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 10 - baby carrots (sliced thinly)
  • 1/4 - head of cabbage (sliced into even strips)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced thinly)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup korean meat marinade
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • - crushed red peppers (sprinkle to taste)
  • - black pepper (sprinkle to taste)

How To Make hamburger no helper

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef with onions and garlic over medium heat in a large cooking pan or wok. Drain oil in colander.
  • Step 2
    Return browned beef, onions, and garlic to heat. Add cabbage and carrots. Saute (uncovered) for 5 - 7 minutes. (Vegetables should not be too soft).
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle black pepper and crushed red peppers over mixture. Stir evenly.
  • Step 4
    Add Korean marinade and mix well. You may add more or less to taste. Serve over hot white rice.
