2 lb
lean ground beef
1 medium
onion, diced
2 large
cans pork and beans
1/4-1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
garlic powder with parsley
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
cornbread or corn muffins for serving

How to Make Hamburger Gravy with Pork and Beans over Cornbread


  • 1Saute ground beef and onions until meat is fully cooked and onions are tender. Add remaining ingredients except cornbread. Simmer to let flavors marry.
  • 2Serve over split buttered cornbread or corn muffins.
