I used to have this in elementary school,then my Mother made it for us at home. I made it for my kids. I would buy a can of steak gravy and add it to the browned beef but can't find the gravy anymore so this is how I make it.

Ingredients For patsy's hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • salt an pepper
  • 2 tsp
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    onion,sliced thin
  • 1/4 c
    fresh mushrooms,sliced
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp
    flour
  • beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    worchesterchire sauce

How To Make patsy's hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes

    Brown ground beef in a skillet,season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain,remove from skillet and set aside. Melt butter saute mushrooms and onion until onion is soft, add garlic. Add flour and stir well,gradually add enough broth until gravy is slightly thick,stirring constantly. Add beef and worchesterchire sauce,stir well. Serve over mashed potatoes.
