Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 1-2 bottle guinness stout (enough to cover meat)
- 1 package frozen pearl onions
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme**
- - **i didn't have any thyme, so added a few shakes of italian seasoning; it worked for me.
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup honey
- - salt and pepper
How To Make guinness beef stew

Step 1Brown meat in a little oil in large pot. When meat is nicely browned, add sliced carrots.

Step 2Add Guinness till meat and carrots are covered. Simmer for about an hour.

Step 3Add onions and thyme. Continue to simmer for 30 more minutes.

Step 4Mix flour and water in a bowl till smooth. Add to stew and cook until thickened. Now stir in honey, add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5Serve over, under, or with mashed potatoes.
