Ground Chuck Picadillo

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1.5 c
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce, 8 ounces
  • 1/2 c
    green olives, sliced
  • 1/3 c
    raisins
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make

    In a non-stick skillet, over high heat, cook the ground chuck, breaking into pieces.

    Remove meat with slotted spoon.
  • 3
    Pour off all but one tablespoon of grease.
  • 4
    Reduce the heat to medium, cook onions and garlic until soft.
  • 5
    Add lime juice, tomato sauce, olives, raisins, cumin and cinnamon.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Season to taste.
