ground beef stuffed peppers
My Mother mader this recipe with ground beef once when she didn't have rice. We loved it so much that we asked her to always make it that way. This is the only way I make them.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1/2 - small onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- - salt & pepper to taste
- 4 - bell peppers (any color)
- 4 - 6 cups water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup chedder cheese, shredded
How To Make ground beef stuffed peppers

Step 1In skillet, brown the ground chuck, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.

Step 2Drain if necessary and set aside

Step 3Cut bell peppers in half and remove seeds and white membrane.

Step 4In saucepan, boil peppers in salted water for about 5 minutes.

Step 5Spray a shallow baking dish with cooking spray and place pepper halves.

Step 6Fill the peppers with the meat mixture.

Step 7Sprinkle cheese on top of each pepper.

Step 8Carefully put about 1/3 cup water in bottom of baking dish.

Step 9Bake peppers for about 20 minutes at 400F.
