Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 - chicken bouillon cube
- 1 can condensed chicken gumbo soup
- 2 tablespoons green pepper, optional
How To Make ground beef gumbo

Step 1Thicken slightly with equal parts flour and butter.

Step 2Preheat skillet to 375 degrees.

Step 3Melt shortening and brown beef, add onion, saute lightly.

Step 4Reduce heat to 225 degrees, add bouillon cube dissolved in water, chicken soup, salt and pepper.

Step 5Cover and cook until desired consistency.

Step 6Serve hot on toasted buns or over rice.
