This is great and quick - my kids like it served in biscuit cups.They freeze well too.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 5
    celery ribs, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    mustard seed
  • 3 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 can(s)
    biscuits

How to Make Ground Beef Barbecue

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown meat in slow cooker or skillet on top of range on medium heat.
  2. Remove excess grease.
  3. Transfer cooking pot to heating base or transfer meat to slow cooker.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients stirring well to blend.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. ( or high 2-3 hours)
  6. Serve on buns or over hot dogs for chili dogs. Or you can spray the insides of a muffin pan and place the bisuits in and up the sides of them. Cook according to package directions. When done, place meat mixture inside the biscuits. Enjoy!
