  • 4
    new york strip steaks, 1 inch thick, steak of your choice

  • 1/4 c
    garlic, granulated
  • 1/4 c
    onion, granulated
  • 1/4 c
    black pepper, course ground
  • 1 c
    kosher salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1 Tbsp
    cayenne pepper

How to Make Grilled Strip Steak Perfection


  1. mix all the seasoning ingredients together. the house seasoning can be stored up to 6 months in an airtight container, in a cool dry place.
  2. dust both sides of the steak with seasoning. on a greased hot grill, grill steaks about 4-5 minutes on each side or until preferred doneness. remove and let rest 5-10 minutes.
  3. you can add a little evoo on both sides of the steak then add house seasoning. make sure that the steaks are at room temperature before grilling.
