I loved a grilled steak and potato salad I tried from a cookbook once. It was complicated though and I just dont have the time. So I adjusted some of the ingredients and made it a more time friendly recipe. My mother went on about it for 15 minutes the first time I brought it to her!! Hope you love it!

  • 12 - tiny red potatoes
  • 1-2 - tomatoes, or grape tomatoes
  • 1 - small onion, cut in thick slices
  • 1-2 - bags of salad mix, i like romaine
  • 2-3 - hard boiled eggs
  • - chicago steak seasoning (or your fave!)

How To Make grilled steak and potato salad

  • Step 1
boil potatoes 10 minutes or until almost tender. set aside to cool.
  • Step 2
    boil eggs, peel and cool.
  • Step 3
liberally shake on your favorite steak seasoning, or just salt and pepper to taste, and place your sirloins on a grill, cooking slowly until medium well done ( or your preference!) set aside to rest.
  • Step 4
    slice tomatoes into wedges.
  • Step 5
slice onion into thick slices, grill until crisp tender. Leave the onions out of the recipe if you dont care for them!
  • Step 6
cut potatoes into wedges, grill just a moment or 2! remember they are almost all the way cooked already! this works best with a grill pan.
  • Step 7
Thinly slice steak. artfully arrange the steak, eggs and vegees onto a big platter of romaine lettuce, spinach leaves, or your favorite lettuce blend!
  • Step 8
enjoy with honey mustard dressing, or ranch, or a good balsamic vinagrette !!
  • Step 9
best served with the steak and potatoes still warm!
