I got the inspiration for this recipe from a local steakhouse. It has a salisbury steak flavor. I use my indoor grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 - egg- beaten
  • 1 - envelope onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 jar beef gravy- divided
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce-divided
  • 3 tablespoons bbq sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

How To Make grilled meatloaf

  • Step 1
Combine egg, onion soup mix, salt and pepper, 1T bbq sauce, and 3/4 jar of gravy. In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the gravy, bbq sauce, and the onion powder.
  • Step 2
Gently mix in the beef or turkey and the bread crumbs. Place in a loaf pan and top with a layer of the sauce mixture.
  • Step 3
Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes. Remember if it isn't completely done, it is still going on the grill.
  • Step 4
Let cool for about 10 minutes then remove from pan onto cutting board. Cut into 1 1/2 inch slices.
  • Step 5
Place each slice onto the preheated grill just long enough to get grill marks. Brush sauce over the slices while grilling.
  • Step 6
    Great served over mashed potatoes!
