round steak
1/4 c
soy sauce
clove garlic, diced
1.5 tsp
grated fresh ginger
1/4 c
salad oil
1 c
green onions, thinly sliced
1 c
red or green bell pepper
thinly sliced celery stalk
1 Tbsp
1 c
tomatoes, cut in wedges

How to Make Green Pepper Steak


  • 1Cut beef across grain into thin strips, 1/8" thick.
  • 2Combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger.
  • 3Add beef; toss.
  • 4Set aside while preparing vegetables.
  • 5Heat oil in wok.
  • 6Add beef, toss over high heat until browned.
  • 7Taste meat.
  • 8If it is not tender, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes over low heat.
  • 9Turn heat up and add vegetables.
  • 10Toss until vegetables are tender crisp, about 10 minutes.
  • 11Mix cornstarch with water.
  • 12Add to pan.
  • 13Stir and cook until thickened.
  • 14Add tomatoes.
