Whenever my grandmother babysat for us as kids, this was the meal we wanted her to fix. Now my kids love it. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.

Ingredients For grandma's goulash

  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion, diced
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can
    crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • salt and pepper
  • 16 oz
    macaroni, elbow

How To Make grandma's goulash

    In an electric skillet or large saucepan,heat the oil and brown the ground beef with the onions and peppers until the beef is totally browned.

    Add the crushed tomatoes, season generously with salt and add pepper. Cover and simmer for approx. 30-45 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes so the sauce does not burn on the bottom.

    Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Once cooked, drain and put in large bowl. Top with sauce, mix thoroughly and serve.
