    5 lb chuck roast
  • ·
    2 cans campbell golden mushroom soup
  • ·
    1 1/2 packets lipton onion soup mix
  • ·
    baby carrots
  • ·
    new potatoes
  • ·
    chopped onion
  • ·
    fresh mushrooms
  • ·
    fresh green beans

How to Make Golden Mushroom Pot Roast ala Elaine


  1. *Too many veggies cooking along with the beef will dilute the rich gravy, so limit them or prepare them separately and add them to the finished dish when serving
  2. Place chuck roast in roaster
  3. Combine Golden Mushroom soups and dry Onion Soup in a bowl and then pour over chuck roast
  4. Cover roaster with tin foil and roast slowly @ 300 degrees for 30 minutes per pound or 275 degrees for 40 minutes per pound
    It will be done when the meat is tender chunks
  5. Add veggies and potatoes to the rich gravy and serve or freeze
