Ingredients

  • 1 pound top sirloin steak
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 medium carrots, cut in 2 inch sticks
  • 1 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 - clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, finely chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chunked
  • 1 quart salad lettuce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

How To Make ginger beef stir fry

  • Step 1
    Thinly slice sirloin against grain in 1 inch wide strips.
  • Step 2
    Cut each water chestnut in half.
  • Step 3
    In a large skillet or wok, quickly brown sirloin in hot oil.
  • Step 4
    Stir in chestnuts, carrots, onion, garlic and ginger until onion is soft.
  • Step 5
    Stir in pepper and lettuce for one minute.
  • Step 6
    Stir in marmalade and soy sauce.
  • Step 7
    Cook, stirring about 2 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Serve at once.
