top sirloin steak
1 can(s)
water chestnuts, drained
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
3 medium
carrots, cut in 2 inch sticks
1 medium
onions, sliced
clove garlic, pressed
1 Tbsp
fresh ginger root, finely chopped
1 large
green bell pepper, chunked
1 qt
salad lettuce
1/4 c
orange marmalade
2 Tbsp
soy sauce

How to Make Ginger Beef Stir Fry


  • 1Thinly slice sirloin against grain in 1 inch wide strips.
  • 2Cut each water chestnut in half.
  • 3In a large skillet or wok, quickly brown sirloin in hot oil.
  • 4Stir in chestnuts, carrots, onion, garlic and ginger until onion is soft.
  • 5Stir in pepper and lettuce for one minute.
  • 6Stir in marmalade and soy sauce.
  • 7Cook, stirring about 2 minutes.
  • 8Serve at once.
