garlic onion swissburgers
(2 RATINGS)
I got tired of making regular almost unflavored burgers and my kids were getting tired of food in general, so I decided to try something a little different for them. These are a HUGE success in my house and I know that when I make them I have to make at LEAST 2 per person (and my youngest is not even 2 years old yet!). I do not have a picture of this yet as my camera quit working, but as soon as I get one, I will post it here for everyone to see.

Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- - onion flakes, dehydrated
- - garlic powder
- - salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
- - swiss cheese (or your favorite)
How To Make garlic onion swissburgers
-
Step 1Mix dried onion flakes (any minced dried onion from the seasonings aisle at your local grocery store), garlic powder, salt and pepper. I usually use about 1T of each garlic and onion per burger.
-
Step 2Form hamburger mix into patties (however big you want them), cover and set aside.
-
Step 3Heat 1-2T EVOO (depending on leanness of hamburger, the less fat content, the more oil to add). Depending on pan and patty size, place 1-2 in the pan and cook 5-7 minutes each side until dark and cooked through.
-
Step 4Add 1 slice of your favorite cheese (ours is swiss), place burger between your choice of bread or bun, and enjoy!
