olive oil
1/2 c
soy sauce
1/4 c
balsamic or red wine vinegar
8 oz
garlic cloves, minced
4 tsp
dried rosemary, crushed
3.5 lb
2 inch thick top sirloin steak

How to Make Garlic and Rosemary Steak


  • 1Combine first five ingredients, pour into a liquid tight container or plastic bag, then add steak.
  • 2Refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  • 3Bring steak to room temperature.
  • 4Preheat broiler 5 minutes.
  • 5Remove steak from marinade and pat dry.
  • 6Transfer marinade to heavy saucepan.
  • 7Broil steak to desired doneness, about 10 minutes per side for rare (125 degrees.)
  • 8Transfer to platter.
  • 9Let stand 10 minutes.
  • 10Bring marinade to a boil.
  • 11Thinly slice steak across grain.
  • 12Arrange on platter.
  • 13Serve, passing marinade separately.
