How to Make Garbage Can Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown beef and onions until done; drain. Drain corn and add to beef. Pour into 9x13-inch casserole dish. Make mashed potatoes according to package directions. Spread over mixture and pour shredded cheese on top. Heat at 350 degrees until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
  2. I made my own mashed potatoes. Didn't measure them either.. Sorry
