We were having tacos for dinner, had won tons in the fridge, thought why not? It was a big hit! Nice way to change up taco night! Can be served as a meal with refried beans, mexican rice. Or great as an appetizer! I've also added a pic of a healthier, lighter version of this recipe...

Ingredients For fried wonton tacos

1 lbground beef

1 pkgtaco seasoning mix

16wonton wrappers

1 cMexican blend shredded cheese

1 lgchopped tomato
-
1/2 cshredded lettuce

1 smonion, diced

1 canblack olives, sliced

1/2 cwater

3/4 ccanola oil
How To Make fried wonton tacos

1In a skillet, brown hamburger until no longer pink, drain. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, let simmer. Chop all veggies, set aside.

2Fill wonton wrappers with 1 tbsp hamburger, sprinkle with cheese, fold in triangle. Brush edges of wontons with remaining water (or egg wash), seal the seams. In a medium skillet, warm oil over med-high heat. Add wontons, brown on each side, about 2 min. Remove from skillet once golden and crispy to paper towels to absorb any grease.

3Add veggie toppings as you would a taco... serve with refried beans and rice, or as an appetizer. Enjoy!
