Fresh Mushroom Cream Sauce for Steak
1 Tbspvegetable oil (or olive oil)
1 lbmixed fresh mushrooms of your choice
1small sweet onion, finely sliced
1/2 cbeef bouillon or beef broth
1/2 cheavy cream
·freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cchopped fresh basil, optional
How to Make Fresh Mushroom Cream Sauce for Steak
- Heat oil in a medium skillet. Add mushrooms and onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring. Add broth and cream and just bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Add basil, if using, and pepper to taste. Simmer until slightly thickened (just 3 or 4 minutes).
Serve over grilled or broiled steak.
