- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 pound sausage
- 1 - onion
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef consomme
- - parsley
- - thyme
- 1 - bay leaf
How To Make french meatballs

Step 1Soak the bread crumbs in the milk.

Step 2Combine meats, onions and parsley.

Step 3Add bread, egg, salt and pepper. Chill.

Step 4Form into small balls and roll in flour.

Step 5Brown on all sides in fry pan.

Step 6Sauce: 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons flour, 2 cups consomme, parsley, thyme and bay leaf.

Step 7Melt butter, stir in flour and then add consomme and seasonings.

Step 8Stir until thickens and add meatballs, simmer for 20 minutes.
