butter
2 Tbsp
flour
2 c
beef consomme
parsley
thyme

bay leaf

How to Make French Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Soak the bread crumbs in the milk.
  • 2Combine meats, onions and parsley.
  • 3Add bread, egg, salt and pepper. Chill.
  • 4Form into small balls and roll in flour.
  • 5Brown on all sides in fry pan.
  • 6Sauce: 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons flour, 2 cups consomme, parsley, thyme and bay leaf.
  • 7Melt butter, stir in flour and then add consomme and seasonings.
  • 8Stir until thickens and add meatballs, simmer for 20 minutes.
