1beef chuck roast (average size)

1 pkgau jus gravy mix

1 canFrench onion soup

1 canbeef consomme

8 sliceprovolone cheese

8hoagie rolls/buns
How To Make french dip hoagies

1Put roast in a Crock Pot.

2Sprinkle gravy mix on roast. Pour French onion soup and beef consomme over top.

3Cook on low heat for six hours. Cooking slowly ensures a more tender roast.

4When roast is done, shred it with a fork.

5Place open hoagie rolls/buns on a baking sheet.

6Place one slice (halved) of cheese on one side of each bun.

7Broil buns in oven for a few minutes until buns are brown and cheese is melty.

8Spoon a hearty helping of roast and gravy on each bun. Can serve open faced or closed.

9Spoon some of the remaining gravy into small, individual bowls for dipping.
