Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chuck roast, trimmed of all fat
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 3-4 - peppercorns
  • 8 - french rolls, split

How To Make french dip

  • Step 1
    Place roast in a slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Add water, soy sauce, and seasonings.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or until beef is tender.
  • Step 4
    Remove meat from broth; shred with forks and keep warm.
  • Step 5
    Strain broth; skim off fat.
  • Step 6
    Pour broth into small cups for dipping.
  • Step 7
    Serve beef on rolls.
