How to Make French Bread Mini Meatball Subs

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Combine beef, onion, green pepper, crackers and egg in a large bowl. Season with Worc. garlic, seasoned salt, and pepper, mix well. Form into 8 meatballs. Place meatballs in a 9x13 baking pan. Baket in oven for 20 minutes.
  3. While baking meatballs, pour spaghetti sauce in a saucepan, bring to a simmer over low. Continue to cook while meatballs are cooking.
  4. Cut your french bread in 4 to 5" slices, not completely opening each slice. Spread a couple spoonful's of sauce on the inside bottom of bread, add a meatball, sprinkle of mozzarella, sprinkle of parmesan and another couple spoonfuls of sauce. Place in oven until cheese melts about 7 minutes.
  5. You can make this as a snack or serve with potato salad or a fresh salad for a meal. One will fill me up, my husband needs two.
