Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons cracked black pepper
- 5 tablespoons basil
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 2 - onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 4-15 oz cans chili beans (mrs. grimes, or bush's are best)
- 4-15oz cans tomato sauce
How To Make football chili

Step 1Brown ground beef and drain well.

Step 2Add next 6 ingredients (spices) into ground beef and mix

Step 3In a large stock pot, stir together, beef mixture, chili beans and tomato sauce and cook (simmer) on the stove for at least one hour... the longer the better tho.

Step 4Check and stir throughout cooking time.

Step 5Flavor increases as it cooks. The longer you can simmer, the better the taste.

Step 6Can also be cooked in a crock pot

Step 7Great as is, or you can add a spoonful of sour cream and some grated cheddar cheese on top of each bowl as you serve it.
