This is an old recipe that my mother in law made years ago for parties. They may sound odd but they are very good. Give them a try!

Ingredients

  • 8 - hamburger buns
  • 1 small jar of cheese whiz
  • 1 pound bacon, cut up in bite size peices
  • 1 medium sweet onion - chopped
  • 1 cup ketsup
  • 1 package dried beef chipped

How To Make foil sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Fry bacon and onions until browned. Drain well.
  • Step 2
    Add ketsup and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Spread each bun with cheese whiz. Add 2 slices of chipped beef and 2 tablespoons of bacon mixture.
  • Step 4
    Wrap each sandwich in foil. Place all sandwiches on a baking pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Step 5
    After baking, these wrapped sandwiches may be kept warm in a slow cooker on low.
