Foil Sandwiches

This is an old recipe that my mother in law made years ago for parties. They may sound odd but they are very good. Give them a try!

hamburger buns
1 small
jar of cheese whiz
1 lb
bacon, cut up in bite size peices
1 medium
sweet onion - chopped
1 c
1 pkg
dried beef chipped

How to Make Foil Sandwiches


  • 1Fry bacon and onions until browned. Drain well.
  • 2Add ketsup and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 3Spread each bun with cheese whiz. Add 2 slices of chipped beef and 2 tablespoons of bacon mixture.
  • 4Wrap each sandwich in foil. Place all sandwiches on a baking pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 5After baking, these wrapped sandwiches may be kept warm in a slow cooker on low.
