Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds flank steak
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1.5 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 1 - clove garlic
  • - mushrooms, sliced
  • - parsley sprigs, for garnish

How To Make flank steak deluxe

  • Step 1
    Score meat.
  • Step 2
    Mix flour, salt, and pepper; thoroughly pound into meat.
  • Step 3
    Brown in hot oil.
  • Step 4
    Combine remaining ingrediets; pour over meat and cover.
  • Step 5
    Cook over low heat until tender, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Step 6
    (Do not cook in electric skillet.)
  • Step 7
    Serve surrounded by border of cooked rice.
  • Step 8
    Garnish with parsley.
