How To Make flank steak asian
-
1Combine the first 9 ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well. Place the steak in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Pour the marinade mixture over the steak. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 3 hours, flipping occasionally. (I flip every 30 minutes if I can) I have to admit I've taken this to work with me in a large Ziploc bag and flipped throughout the day!
-
2Remove the steak from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Place the marinade in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Set the marinade aside.
-
3Place the steak on a rack in a broiler pan; broil 6 inches from the heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side or to the desired degree of doneness. I go for 5 to 6 minutes per side, but my broiler runs hot.
-
4To serve, slice the steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices. Serve with the reserved marinade. I like this with steamed veggies and rice.
