Been diggin in my old recipes files again. This is an old one.

Add to Grocery List

2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 Tbsp
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can tomatoes (16 oz)
1 t. tabasco sauce
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
1 1/2 Tbsp
fiery chili powder
1 t. salt
1/2 t. ground cumin
1/2 t. ground oregano
1/2 t. paprika
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. ground allspice
1 bay leaf, crushed
1/2 cup dry red wine
1 can (29 oz) kidney beans, drained

How to Make Fire Alarm Chili


  • 1Pour oil in skillet. Add meat and brown with garlic. Transfer meat to large pot.
  • 2Add remaining ingredients except wine and beans. Simmer for 1 hour. Add water occasionally if needed. Add wine and beans, Simmer for 15 minutes more.
    Serve 4 to 6
