Ingredients

  • - 2 t. butter
  • - 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 2 t. brown sugar
  • - 1 t. honey
  • - 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • - 1/3 cup beef stock
  • - 1 t. salt, divided
  • - 1/4 t pepper, divided
  • - 4 filet mignon steaks, 6 oz. each
  • - 2 t. olive oil

How To Make filet mignon with caramel glaze

  • Step 1
    Cook and stir garlic in butter for 3 minutes. Add brown sugar and honey; cook and stir until mixture combines. Add vinegar,s tock, half of the salt and pepper and grin to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minute or until syrupy. Remove from heat. Let steaks stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, then pat dry. Sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper and brush with olive oil. Grill steaks over direct heat for 8 to 11 minutes turning twice, to desired doneness. Plate and top with sauce. Just Sauces
