The first time I had this sloppy joe was some 40 years ago. It has become a staple for family gatherings. Now prepared by my son, daughter-in-law, friends and many others that have gotten the recipe. I can't even remember the lady I got it from, but thank her mentally whenever I make it. Hope you enjoy as much as my family.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground burger - your choice
  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 2 to 3 can(s)
    vegetarian vegetable soup
  • 3/4 to 1 c
    ketsup
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • ·
    your favorite hamburg buns.

How to Make Family's Favorite Sloppy Joe

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown burger with onions. Salt and pepper to your taste. Drain excess grease.
  2. Pour remaining ingredients into pan stir and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  3. Put on buns and serve with your favorite sides.

    Remember that all ingredients can be adjusted to taste.
