Our family loves this! Made for about 30 years. You can change the soups to what you prefer. You can change the rice to noodles. I like the cheese soup and cream of mushroom when using noodles. Use your imagination! I do!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground round or chuck
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 medium chopped bell pepper
- 1 small jar of pimento
- 1 cup uncooked rice or noodles
- 1 can cream of onion soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans water, rinse soup cans and use to add in mixture
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon tobasco sauce or louisiana hot sauce
- 1 small chopped mushrooms
- - extra water if needed
How To Make family dirty rice

Step 1Brown meat, add peppers and onions. Cook until pepper is done. Drain if there is grease left in pan. Add hot sauce, mushrooms, seasonings, pimento, soups and water. Heat until bubbly. Then add uncooked rice or noodles. Cook until rice or noodles are done. Make sure mixtures does not stick to bottom. Add extra water if needed to finish cooking rice or noodles.

Step 2I use a big Dutch oven style pan since this makes a good bit and I don't want it to overflow. The leftovers are even better!
