I aspire to be a great cook, but it doesn't come naturally. This is one thing my picky husband will always eat. The kids, alas, not always...

prep time 15 Min
cook time 4 Hr
method ---
yield 3-4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef roast
  • 1 small bag of baby carrots
  • 7-8 - red potatoes, quartered
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 3 - ribs of celery, chopped
  • 1 package seasoning packet (i use mccormick's savory pot roast)

How To Make fail-safe pot roast

  • Step 1
Grab your Crock Pot. I use the 4 quart size. If you really don't want a mess or don't have a dishwasher, get some Crock Pot liners to make life easier and place one in the pot.
  • Step 2
Place the roast in the Pot. Add the carrots, onions, celery, and potatoes.
  • Step 3
Mix the packet with water as directed on package. Pour over roast and veggies.
  • Step 4
Put top on. Turn it on low for 8 hours or high for 4. Enjoy!
