My daughter Emily loves my home cooked meals. When she comes home from college, this is always on the menu!

Ingredients

  • 4-6 pounds beef roast; rump roast works well; not too much fat
  • 1 - envelope lipton's beefy onion soup mix (plain onion soup mix works, too)
  • 1 bag small, peeled carrots
  • 1 pound cleaned and diced potatoes (optional)
  • 1 cup water

How To Make emily's favorite pot roast

  • Step 1
    Spray crock pot with Pam or use slow cooker bag.
  • Step 2
    Place roast in crock pot fat side down.
  • Step 3
    Pour in carrotts, potatoes, and onion soup mix with 1 cup water
  • Step 4
    Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Roast will be fall-apart done and have plenty of liquid for gravy!
