Ingredients
- 4 - beef cutlets, 4 ounces each
- - southwest seasoning mix
- 1.5 cups flour
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
- - vegetable oil
- 2 cups roasted garlic mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup white gravy
How To Make emeril's funky fried steak

Step 1In a cast-iron skillet, preheat the oil.

Step 2Heavily season each side of the cutlets with the southwest seasoning, season the flour with the southwest seasoning.

Step 3Dredge the cutlets in the flour.

Step 4Dip each cutlet in the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.

Step 5Dredge the cutlets back into the flour, coating each side completely.

Step 6Place the cutlets in the hot oil.

Step 7Fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Step 8Remove from the oil and drain on paper-lined plate.

Step 9Season the steaks with salt and pepper.

Step 10Mound the potatoes in the center of the plate.

Step 11Drizzle worcestershire sauce around the potatoes.

Step 12Lay the steaks on top of the potatoes.

Step 13Spoon the gravy over the steak.

Step 14Garnish with chives and brunoise peppers.
