This was (supposedly) Elvis Presley's favorite meatloaf, as prepared for him by his cook at Graceland. Whether it was or not, it is gooood!!

*I have also posted the optional Special Cheese Sauce for the meatloaf!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 medium
    bell pepper, red or green, chopped
  • 1 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    ritz crackers, crushed
  • 2
    slices white bread

How to Make Elvis' Favorite Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients together, except for bread. Shape into loaf. Line a 1 and 1/2 qt loaf pan with the bread slices. Place meatloaf on top. *The bread soaks up grease, and should be thrown away after the meatloaf is done.
  3. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, until meat is cooked through.
