Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz each)
- 1 cup sliced black olives
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
- 1 package tortilla chips
- 2 cups grated cheese (1/2 pound)
- 3-4 cans canned diced green chilies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350'

Step 2Brown meat in skillet. Drain.

Step 3Add onion, garlic, olives and tomato sauce.

Step 4In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese and chilies.

Step 5Layer crushed tortilla chips in bottom of a buttered 2 1/2 qt casserole dish.

Step 6Layer with 1/2 of the meat mixture.

Step 7Layer with 1/2 of the sour cream mixture.

Step 8Layer with 1/2 of the grated cheese.

Step 9Repeat the 4 layers.

Step 10Garnish with whole tortilla chips, if desired.

Step 11Bake for 30 minutes.
